A word on women atheletes

The recent ESPY Awards turned my thoughts back to art directing a shoot of Aly Raisman for Pandora on the heels of her first Olympics. It makes me reel to think she was still in harms way, this sweet, hard working girl. It amazes me to see her growth into a fearless, outspoken woman. It also makes me smile to see she still re-posts the mother-daughter photo we shot when Mother's Day rolls around.

During the Pandora years, I had many occasions to be inspired by hard-working, humble female athletes and their amazing families. Gracie Gold and her twin sister were quite a pair. Not to mention our photographer, Cheyenne Ellis was a certified bad ass herself, with competitive careers as both a stunt woman and a photographer. So many good memories of days spent with strong women. I hope I encounter that kind of magic again.
